Being Mortal: Medicine & End-of-Life Treatment
The PBS Frontline documentary, Being Mortal, is based on the bestselling book by Atul Gawande, a physician who wrote about the issues facing terminally ill patients and how treatment can impact end-of-life care. It follows the journeys of five people facing end of life and provides excellent insight into the issues surrounding this difficult time.
The documentary will be shown in the Library Community Center and will be followed by a discussion led by Dr. Richard Hansen, a retired physician who has done extensive study on end-of-life medicine and treatment. The program is free, but registration is required. Please call (262) 723-2678 to register. We hope you can join us for this difficult, but highly relevant discussion.
