Recreation

Great golfing can be found on four public courses, all located within a few minutes drive of Elkhorn. Evergreen Golf Club, located right here in Elkhorn, is a Golf Digest four–star Best Places to Play Facility and offers 27 holes of scenic golfing. Alpine Valley Resort also offers 27 holes of golf, and in the winter, they have downhill skiing and snowboarding trails for everyone.

The White River State Trail is a 12.6 mile limestone trail that runs through beautiful countryside and travels from Elkhorn to just west of Burlington. The trail is great for walking, hiking, snowmobiling, and there’s even a 2 mile stretch that is open for horseback riding.

Lauderdale Lakes is located 6 miles north of Elkhorn and consists of a small chain of three lakes; Mill, Middle and Green Lakes. Local residents and visitors alike enjoy fishing, boating, golfing, water-skiing, swimming and sailing. In the winter Lauderdale Lakes welcomes ice-fisherman, ice boaters, skaters and cross-country skiers.

For those who enjoy indoor activities, we have Four Lakes Athletic Club, the Walworth County Gymnastic & Dance Center and much more for you to enjoy.
